Happy Last Day of Summer, my sweet collective of peeps, homies and poets – oh my!

This project is along the lines of what I posted about here, a suggestion by Alvin Lau some time ago.

McGee's GROUP POEM #001 (9/21/08)
Subject/Theme: Loneliness

Add a line or two to what I've written. It doesn't have to be humorous, but I think for this one, it could work well.
  • Submit your lines by commenting on this post and this post only.
  • It must be original; you must be the author of what you submit.
  • Submit as often as you like, but each submission must not exceed 50 words.
  • Deadline for submissions is October 1st. Later submissions will not be included.
  • Sign off on your submission.
I will edit the lines together. Some lines may get cut. Don't fret! Some of mine will be cut as well. In no way must you follow my style or pattern, just stick to the theme.

Once completed, I will post it here and on my website. I will end the poem with a list of credits. If you copy the poem, you must include the list of credits with it from here on out. Please sign off on your submission with the name you'd like to be credited with.

"Loneliness"

Loneliness is the zucchini left in the vegetable party tray.
It is the guy high on coke in Utah.
It is the Australian forced to watch Crocodile Dundee 3.
It is seeing your mother in a Girls Gone Wild video.
It is loving creamed corn right out of the can.
Loneliness is really wanting to high five someone but you are having kinky sex and your hands are literally tied.
